Christopher M. Balon, 20, of 2060 Robinwood Drive, Algonquin, was charged Tuesday with robbery in connection with the afternoon incident April 8^th 2006 at Willoughby Farms Park, southeast of Randall and County Line roads. A 13-year-old Carpentersville boy also was charged with robbery on Wednesday. Police Sgt. Jeff Sutrick said the pair approached a 14-year-old Algonquin boy on his bicycle and demanded his bike, with the Carpentersville boy threatening him with a pocket knife. Balon used brass knuckles to punch the Algonquin boy, who was injured, Sutrick said. But the boy refused to give up his bike, and so the pair stole his baseball cap, Sutrick said. Balon posted $1,000 bail and is set to appear May 10^th in Kane County Court. Juvenile court is handling the Carpentersville boy's case.
